BACKGROUND

Has played internationally in Cyprus, France, Italy, and Lebanon, and stateside in the CBA, USBL, and NBA. Participated in Shaw’s Pro Summer League with the Washington Wizards in 2002. Played with De Vizia Avellino in Italy in 2001-02, averaging 13.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 27 games. Started 2000-01 season with the Miami Heat in the NBA, averaging 1.0 points and 1.8 rebounds before being released after six games. Moved on to the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the CBA, averaging 17.5 points and 6.7 rebounds in 21 games.

Played four seasons at Virginia. Competed in 122 career games, starting 40 times. Won UVA’s Michael McCann Leadership Award as a senior in 1996-97.

As a senior, averaged 5.6 points and 4.8 rebounds. Started 13 of 31 games, but played the role of sixth-man most of the season. Finished second on the team in rebounding and assists. Recorded first double-double of career with 17 points and career-high 12 rebounds at George Mason on Jan. 30. Also scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds on two other occasions. Tied career-high with 12 rebounds against Loyola (MD) on Jan. 2. Served as team captain.

As a junior, averaged 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. Started six times. Scored in double figures seven times, with a career-high of 29 points against Maryland on Feb. 1. Tallied 17 points against Old Dominion on Feb. 5. Led team with 17 points against Florida State on Jan. 3. Dished out career-high eight assists against Vanderbilt on Dec. 5.

As a sophomore, averaged 5.4 points and 2.9 rebounds. Started 17 of 34 games. Tallied 10 or more points in six games. Scored season-high 13 points against Wake Forest on Jan. 25. Recorded six points, three rebounds, and a block against Arkansas in the NCAA Tournament Midwest Region Finals.

As a freshman, averaged 7.1 points and 3.1 rebounds. Started four times. Scored 11 points and grabbed season-high nine rebounds at Duke on Feb. 16. Registered season-high 19 points in win over Duke in the ACC Tournament semi-finals.
