BACKGROUND
Started the 2004-05 season in Spain's LEB league with Alerta Cantabria, appearing
in three games and scoring 15 points before being released. Participated in
the 2004 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
College Highlights: Named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated
press after leading NCAA Division I in assists as a senior. Was also named Atlantic-10
Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Conference honors. Finished collegiate
career at Troy State after spending first two seasons at Bossier-Parish Community
College in Louisiana. Helped Troy State to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance
as a junior and an NIT appearance as a senior.
Senior (2003-04): Averaged a team-high 15.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and
8.3 assists. Started all 31 games. Season total of 256 assists set a school
and league record. Also led team in steals (75). Notched ten double-doubles
of points and assists. Started season with a 15 point, 12 assist effort against
Oakwood. Recorded 21 points and seven assists at LSU. Scored 12 points and dished
out a career-high 14 assists against Stetson. Registered career-high 22 points
on four occasions, the most recent against Central Florida in the finals of
the Atlantic Sun Tournament. Tied career-high with 14 assists against Campbell.
Led team with 18 points at Niagara in the post-season NIT.
Junior (2002-03): Averaged 11.0 points and 4.8 assists. Started 31 of
32 games. Posted a double-double of ten points and 12 assists in his Trojans
debut against Knoxville College. Scored 19 points on 7-for-9 shooting at SE
Louisiana. Tallied 19 points and eight assists against Georgia State. Scored
season-high 20 points against Samford in the Atlantic Sun Tournament. Named
to the All-Tournament Team. Matched that total by leading team with 20 points
against Xavier in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Junior college (1999-00 and 2000-01): At Bossier-Parish, averaged 19.3
points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals as a sophomore while leading the team to
a 23-10 record. Posted a season-high of 37 points against Delgado JC. Scored
973 points in two seasons. Was a two-time All-Conference and All-Region selection.
Led team to the quarterfinals of the region tournament as a freshman and to
the finals as a sophomore. Voted Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches
Junior College Player of the Year as a sophomore.
