In 2002, he averaged 20.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2 assists with the Kansas Cagerz. His 20.9 points per game led the USBL in scoring. In 2001, Gary played eight games with the Long Island Surg, averaging 15.4 points and 2.8 rebounds. Later during the 2001-02 season, he played a stint at Rabotnicki Skopje averaging 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in four games. Was named Dominican Republic Northern Conference Regular Season Winner and participated in the USBL FinalFour. Named second team All-IBA during in 1999.

As a senior, averaged 7.6 points and 2.9 rebounds. Selected by Grand Rapid Hoops in the 8th round (#64 pick overall) of the CBA draft. Averaged 7.9 points and 4.0 rebounds during his junior season.
