BACKGROUND

Redshirted in 1999-00 to complete degree and teaching certificate in four years. Became the first UA player to appear in two Final Fours (1997 & 2001). UA posted 15-4 record in NCAA Tournament in his five years and claimed the 1997 NCAA Championship.

As a senior, voted Mr. Hustle and Most Inspirational by his teammates. Averaged 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds, along with .714 field-goal percentage in NCAA Tournament. Matched a season-high with 13 points and added seven rebounds vs. Eastern Illinois on March 16 in NCAA first round. Shot .571 from the floor in Pac-10 play.

As a junior, was UA’s sixth man for much of the year and tied for third in rebounding (4.8 rpg). Registered back-to-back double-digit scoring games, tallying 13 points and six rebounds vs. Arizona State, and 12 points and eight rebounds vs. LSU.

As a sophomore, finished as team’s third-leading rebounder (5.2 rpg). Had five double-digit rebounding games, including a career-high 13 boards in 21 minutes vs. Washington State, 12 vs. Arizona State, and 10 vs. Oregon and New Mexico.

As a freshman, came off the bench for 11.6 minutes per game during Arizona’s national championship season. Pulled down 16 rebounds in the Final Four, including nine vs. North Carolina and seven vs. Kentucky. Recorded five points and four rebounds in upset of No. 1 Kansas in Sweet 16.

Personal: Likes photography, reading children’s literature, baseball card collecting, travelling and cats. After viewing an Australian Rules Football game in Melbourne, said he wants to play that sport if things don’t work out for him in hoops.
