BACKGROUND

 Acquired by the Flight on Jan. 8. Released by Columbus Dec. 22, after signing with the Riverdragons Dec. 3. Started season with Greenville after being drafted in the sixth round (48th pick). Waived by the Groove Nov. 26. Tallied a 5.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg at Greenville in seven contests and had 1.2 ppg and 1.5 rpg in five contests for Columbus.

Played the final two seasons of collegiate career at Massachusetts, after playing his first two years at Syracuse. Sat out 1999-00 season at UMASS under NCAA transfer rules. Tallied 415 points and 334 rebounds in his collegiate career. As a senior, averaged 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.3 minutes a game. Finished second on the team in field goal, free throw, and there-point percentage. Reached double figures in scoring six times. Finished season with a six point, four rebound performance against Xavier in the Atlantic-10 Tournament, in which he hit a buzzer-beating desperation three-pointer to force overtime.
