BACKGROUND

Spent the part of his 2003 summer with the Portland Trail Blazers' summer league team. Also spent the summer of 2003 in the USBL with the Brooklyn Kings. Averaged 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 13 games. Played briefly in the NBDL during the 2002-03 season, appearing in one game with the North Charleston Lowgators. Also played with the Harlem Globetrotters in 2002. Played with the Brooklyn Kings in the USBL in 2002, averaging 17.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 11 games. Had another summer league stint with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2001. Played with the Florida Sea Dragons in the USBL in 2001, averaging 4.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in seven games. Also played with Plaza Fernando Valerio in the Dominican Republic the summer of 2001. Spent the 2000-01 season in Cyprus with APOEL Nicosia, where he led his team to the National Cup Championship. Signed to play with the Chicago Bulls summer league team in 2000. Played for the Long Island Surf in the USBL the summer of 2000, averaging 19.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 17 games. Was named USBL Rookie of the Year.

Played in 87 career games at St. John’s, starting six times, all in his senior season. Had career totals of 412 points, 155 rebounds and 143 assists.

As a senior, averaged 8.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 23.0 minutes a contest. Averaged 12.7 points, 5.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in the six games he started in place of an injured Erick Barkley. Recorded career-high 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting while handing out five assists against DePaul. Scored 14 points and dished out six assists against Hofstra. Tallied 14 points and a career-high seven assists against Niagara. Registered 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds against Seton Hall. Had 12 points, six rebounds, six assists and a career-high five steals against Providence. Scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Big East Tournament semifinals against Miami (FL).

As a junior, averaged 3.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 10.6 minutes a contest. Led team in steals three times and led team in assists twice. Set season-highs with 15 points, five rebounds and six assists against Pittsburgh. Dished out six assists and grabbed three steals against St. Francis. Grabbed five rebounds and three steals against Providence.

As a sophomore, averaged 2.4 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 5.5 minutes a contest. Scored season-high seven points and grabbed three rebounds against Colgate. Tallied three points and three assists in nine minutes against Niagara. Scored four points against Drexel.

As a freshman, averaged 1.2 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 7.9 minutes a contest. Became eligible to play on December 21 after missing the team’s first six games.
