BACKGROUND

Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA training camp with the Houston Rockets in the fall of 2005. Named MVP of the 2005 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

College Highlights: Named consensus First Team All-SEC and league Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Completed collegiate career ranked 35th in scoring (1,211 points), seventh in rebounding (910), ninth in blocks (128), eighth in steals (170), and 16th in assists (292) in Kentucky history. Started 110 consecutive games, tying the school record set by Alex Groza from 1946-49. Team had a 93-18 record when he was in the starting lineup. Played for Team USA on the Pan American Games in the summer of 2003, leading the team in rebounding (7.6 rpg) and ranking second in scoring (11.2 ppg).

Senior (2004-05): Averaged 10.9 points and 7.7 rebounds (ranked sixth in the SEC). Started all 34 games. Grabbed double-figure rebounds in 11 games and recorded nine double-doubles. Scored season-high 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting vs. William & Mary. Notched a double-double of 15 points and a season-high tying 13 rebounds at Vanderbilt. Scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds vs. Tennessee in the SEC Tournament. Registered 16 points and nine rebounds vs. Eastern Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Paced team with 16 points vs. Michigan State in the Austin Regional Finals of the NCAA Tournament.

Junior (2003-04): Ranked third in the SEC in rebounding (8.1 rpg) and blocks (1.4 bpg). Started all 32 games. Recorded seven double-doubles. Registered 22 points and ten rebounds vs. Indiana. Registered 18 points and matched career-high with 16 rebounds at Tennessee. Scored career-high 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out a career-high eight assists in the SEC Tournament Finals vs. Florida. Earned SEC All-Tournament honors. Tallied 12 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists vs. Florida A&M in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Sophomore (2002-03): Led team in rebounding (6.8 rpg) and free throw shooting (.788). Started all 36 games. Pulled down ten or more rebounds eight times, with a career-high 16 rebounds to go with 17 points vs. Notre Dame. Posted five double-doubles, including a 15-point, 12-rebound effort at Georgia. Scored 11 points and grabbed ten rebounds in the rematch in Lexington. Named honorable mention All-SEC by the Associated Press.

Freshman (2001-02): Averaged 5.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in 16.7 minutes a contest. Led the team in free throw shooting (.738). Started nine times. Scored season-high 15 points vs. Tennessee. Recorded first career double-double with ten points and a season-high 13 rebounds vs. South Carolina in the SEC Tournament.
