BACKGROUND

Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA training camp with the Toronto Raptors in the fall of 2005. Played with Huntsville in the NBA D-League during the 2004-05 season, averaging 8.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in ten games. Also appeared in three games for Ovarense of Portugal in the ULEB Cup, averaging 9.3 points and 5.0 rebounds.

College Highlights: Named Honorable Mention All-America by AP as a senior. Named First Team All-Big East
Conference as a senior. Named Virginia State Player of the Year by the Richmond Times-Dispatch as a senior. Concluded career at Virginia Tech ranked ninth in scoring, sixth in steals and ninth in blocked shots. Second player in Virginia Tech history (along with Ace Custis) to record 1,600 career points, 700 career rebounds and 150 career steals. Named to the All-Tournament Team at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament after averaging 18.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals.

Senior (2003-04): Led Virginia Tech to its first Big East Tournament berth. Scored in double figures in every game. Twice named Big East Conference Player of the Week. Led the Hokies in scoring, rebounds, steals, minutes played, blocked shots, field goals attempted and made and free throws attempted and made. Led the Hokies in scoring in 24 of 29 games and in rebounding 24 times. Led the Big East Conference in scoring, was second in steals and third in rebounding. Ranked 11th in scoring in Division I and 18th in steals.

Junior (2002-03): Led Virginia Tech in scoring, rebounds, steals, assists and blocked shots, becoming the first player in conference history to do so. Scored in double figures in 27 games. Scored a season-high 30 points, to go with nine rebounds and five steals against Virginia. Tallied 20 points and 11 rebounds against St. John's.

Sophomore (2001-02): Appeared in all 28 games as a sophomore. Had 14 double-figure scoring games. Fifth on the team in scoring, third in rebounding and second in steals. Scored a season-high 19 points against Boston College.

Freshman (2000-01): Started the first 25 games as a freshman before a leg injury forced him to miss a game. Ranked third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding and steals.

Personal: Was scheduled to graduate on time in May 2004.
