Has played professionally in France, Greece, Italy, and Turkey. Participated in training camp with the Denver Nuggets in 2000. Started 2001-02 season in Greece, averaging 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 14 games before moving onto Snaidero Udine in Italy, where he averaged 16.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 17 games. Played 2000-01 for Besiktas in Turkey, averaging 18.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 15 games. Spent 1999-00 season in France with Le Mans, averaging 16.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 8.4 assists in 29 games. Played 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons with Besiktas in Turkey.
Finished final three seasons of collegiate career at Iowa, after starting at Nebraska. Ranks seventh on Iowa’s all-time scoring list with 1525 points, just ahead of current Dallas Mavericks head coach Don Nelson. Is also Iowa’s all-time assist leader with 575. Averaged 20.2 points and 6.0 assists as a senior in 1996-97, and was the first player ever to lead the Big Ten in scoring and assists. Was named a Third Team All-American by The Associated Press. As a junior, averaged 13.1 points and 6.0 assists, with his assist total of 193 setting an Iowa single-season record. As a sophomore, averaged 14.0 points and 5.8 assists a game. Was named Third Team All-Big Ten. Sat out 1993-94 season under NCAA transfer rules. As a freshman at Nebraska, averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 assists, and was named to the Big Eight All-Freshman Team.
