BACKGROUND

Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA training camp with the Miami Heat in the fall of 2005, after being acquired in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies. Played with the Grizzlies in the 2004-05 season, appearing in eight games and averaging 0.9 points and 0.3 rebounds in 3.5 minutes a contest. Selected by the Seattle Supersonics in the second round (#35 pick overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft. Draft rights later traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. Originally an early entry candidate for the 2003 NBA Draft before withdrawing his name from consideration.

College Highlights: Named Second Team All-America by The Associated Press as a senior. Became first player in Big 12 history to be named to the All-Big 12 First Team in three consecutive seasons. Finished collegiate career as Texas Tech's all-time leading scorer with 2,256 points.

Senior (2002-03): Led the Big 12 in scoring (20.6 ppg) for the second consecutive season. Was a five-time Big 12 Player of the Week selection. Named First Team All-District 9 by the NABC. Scored in double figures 31 times. Topped the 20-point mark on 19 occasions, including a season-high 32 points against Final Four participant Oklahoma State. Posted seven double-doubles. Scored 25 points against NCAA Runner-up Georgia Tech. Scored 29 points against Kansas.

Junior (2002-03): Finished 18th nationally and led the Big 12 in scoring (21.8 ppg). His 741 points are the third-highest single-season total in Big 12 history behind Marcus Fizer and Paul Pierce. Finished 14th in the conference in rebounding (6.4 rpg) and tied for third in steals (1.94 spg). Scored 20 or more points 21 times and had five 30-point games. Registered four double-doubles. Scored a career-high 34 points at Missouri. Had 30 points and nine rebounds at Oklahoma State. Tallied 30 points and 11 rebounds against Texas in the Big 12 Tournament. Broke Big 12 Tournament records for field goals made (28) and attempted (56) in three games.

Sophomore (2001-02): Led team in scoring (18.7 ppg) and field goal percentage (.519). Matched the team high with 40 steals. Started all 31 games. Scored 30 or more four times. Posted five double-doubles. Had a season high 33 points and grabbed 10 rebounds at Colorado. Scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against Oklahoma State in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament. Named to the Big 12 All-Improved squad.

Freshman (2000-01): Ranked fourth on the team in scoring (7.7 ppg) and rebounding (3.6 rpg). Scored career-high 15 points at Baylor. Registered 14 points and seven rebounds against Ball State in the Indiana Classic. Scored 14 points vs. UAB. Tallied ten points, six rebounds, and four assists vs. Baylor. Recorded ten points and five rebounds vs. Prairie View A&M in his first career game.
