BACKGROUND

Pro Career Highlights: Participated in NBA training camp with the Detroit Pistons in the fall of 2005. Played in the BSN league in Puerto Rico from 2001 to 2005, playing for Mayaguez from 2001-04 before switching to Bayamon for the 2005 season. In 2005, averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 28 games. Helped lead Bayamon to a BSN regular season championship. In 2004 for Mayaguez, averaged 18.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 22 games. In 2003, averaged 16.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 30 games. In 2002, averaged 16.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 13 games, missing most of the season due to injury. In 2001, appeared in four games, averaging 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

In 2002-03, played briefly for Valls Felix Hotel in Spain's LEB league, averaging 6.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in seven games. In 2003-04, played in the Superleague 25 in Puerto Rico for Fajardo. Averaged 27.0 points and 8.9 rebounds, ranking second on the team in both categories. Also ranked tenth in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.429). Named to the All-Star game.

High School: Played at Troy from 1999 to 2001 as a foreign exchange student. As a junior in 2000-01, scored a school record 596 points. Was declared ineligible for his senior season and subsequently returned to his native Puerto Rico.
