First Team All-Big Ten as a sophomore...Averaged 17.7 ppg and 5.0 apg in conference play, becoming just the second player in Big Ten history to lead the league in both categories (other: Iowa's Andre Woolridge, 1997)...Scored in double figures 28 times, topping 20 points on six of those occasions ... Named Big Ten Player of the Week on March 4, after averaging 33.0 ppg and 6.0 apg...Led Michigan State to a 19-12 record.. Had 18 points and six assists in the Spartans' NCAA Tournament first-round loss to North Carolina State...As a freshman (2000-01), helped the Spartans to their third consecutive NCAA Final Four appearance... His assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.75 ranked eighth in the Big Ten...Missed three games after suffering a broken right ring finger...Posted eight points in Michigan State's semifinal loss to Arizona at the Metrodome...Earned a gold medal at the 2001 Young Men's World Championship, averaging 5.7 ppg and 2.8 apg while helping Team USA to an 8-0 record.
