Wizards Acquire Lyons From Austin in Three-Team Trade

Bismarck, N.D. (Jan. 13, 2012) - The Dakota Wizards announced today that they have acquired forward Leo Lyons (6-9 240, Missouri) in a three team trade with the Austin Toros and the Springfield Armor. The Wizards traded a 2012 NBA Development League second round draft pick to the Armor and the Toros acquire Josh Davis from the Armor.

Lyons, a 2012 NBA Development League All-Star, appeared in 26 games (16 starts) for the Toros averaging 16.2 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 28.5 minutes per contest. He holds NBA Development League career averages of 15.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 29.0 minutes per game in two seasons with Austin.

In a separate deal, the Dakota Wizards traded guard Anthony Goods to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for Fort Wayne’s third round draft pick in the 2012 NBA Development League Draft.

To make room for Lyons on the roster the Wizards waived forward Curtis Withers. The roster currently stands at 10 players.
