NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2009 – One hundred fourteen players with NBA Development League experience over the last eight seasons are on 2009-10 NBA training camp rosters, including 58 who were on an NBA D-League roster during the 2008-09 season.
“Having more than 100 players with NBA D-League experience showcasing their skills in NBA training camps is a testament to the success of the league,” said Chris Alpert, Vice President of Basketball Operations and Player Personnel for the NBA D-League. “All of these former NBA D-League players are proving themselves to be top NBA prospects as they compete for NBA roster spots.”
The Utah Flash and Iowa Energy each have 10 former players in NBA training camps, while the Sioux Falls Skyforce have eight former players represented.
The Cleveland Cavaliers top NBA teams with seven players with NBA D-League experience vying for roster spots.
