The NBA D-League Showcase, where all 16 teams come together to play two games each over a four-day span in one place, is a special thing. Not only do you get to see nonstop hoops played by people who'll one day be NBA fixtures (like, say, these people), but as players do everything they can to stand out in front of NBA scouts, the week takes on the tenor of a reality show.

Before the Showcase tips on Monday in Reno, check out what NBA Game Time had to say about an event that's become a must-attend for scouts, executives and all sorts of talent evaluators from the NBA and around the globe.

A total of 12 games will be shown on NBA TV across the four-day event

NBA TV will broadcast the NBA Development League Showcase from Reno, Nev., when play tips off on Mon., Jan. 9, and ends with the final game buzzer on Thurs., Jan. 12. NBA TV will broadcast eight live games total throughout the showcase that will air daily at 1 p.m. (ET) and 3:45 p.m. (ET).

The eighth-annual NBA D-League Showcase is hosted by the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and will take place at the Reno Events Center, home to the NBA D-League’s Reno Bighorns. Play-by-play announcer Chad Andrus and analyst Kenyon Murray will be courtside providing match-up coverage, highlights, postgame recaps and more for all of the basketball action.
