NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 13, 2014 – Five top prospects were today announced as replacements in the 2014 NBA Development League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire, which will air live on NBA TV at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Sprint Arena inside NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

On the Futures team, Mo Charlo (Reno) will replace Malcolm Thomas (Los Angeles) and Arinze Onuaku (Canton) will replace Dewane Dedmon (Santa Cruz). On the Prospects roster, Dee Bost (Idaho) will replace Jarvis Varnado (Iowa), Cameron Jones (Santa Cruz) will replace Isaiah Canaan (Rio Grande Valley) and James Nunnally (Bakersfield) will replace Chris Johnson (Rio Grande Valley).

Canaan, Johnson and Thomas are ineligible to play in the game by way of their being on the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz rosters, respectively. The original 20 NBA D-League All-Stars were selected by a vote of the League’s 17 head coaches while the replacements represent the players with the next-highest scores among the coaches’ original vote.

The eighth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire will be preceded by the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three Point Contest, and will host the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest during halftime of the game.
