All-Time High 49 Players With NBA D-League Experience On NBA Playoff Rosters

NEW YORK, April 18, 2009 – 2009 NBA playoff rosters feature 49 players with NBA D-League experience, including key contributors Rafer Alston (Orlando), Chris Andersen (Denver), Jose Barea (Dallas), Aaron Brooks (Houston), Jordan Farmar (Los Angeles Lakers), Chuck Hayes (Houston), Ime Udoka (San Antonio) and Von Wafer (Houston).

Utah’s Morris Almond, Boston’s J.R. Giddens, Denver’s Sonny Weems and San Antonio’s Marcus Williams are currently playing in the 2009 NBA D-League Playoffs on assignment. Almond and Giddens are playing for the Utah Flash, while Weems is playing for the Colorado 14ers and Williams is playing for the Austin Toros. They are four of the 17 players who saw action in the NBA D-League this season.

Williams is joined by three other NBA-playoff bound former NBA D-Leaguers who earned GATORADE Call-Ups this season, Chicago’s DeMarcus Nelson, Cleveland’s Jawad Williams and Houston’s James White.
