Phoenix Suns Assign Diante Garrett to NBA D-League Affiliate Bakersfield Jam

Garrett is expected to be available tonight when Bakersfield plays the Austin Toros in the NBA D-League Playoffs.

NEW YORK, April 11, 2013 – The Phoenix Suns today re-assigned rookie guard Diante Garrett to the Bakersfield Jam, Phoenix’s NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the record 180th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons while Garrett is one of a record 58 NBA players to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Garrett (6-4, 190, Iowa State) has appeared in 18 games for the Suns this season, averaging 2.2 points, 1.6 assists and 7.5 minutes, and returns to the Jam following two previous assignments to the team. During his first stints in Bakersfield, Garrett appeared in eight games, averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 assists and 32.8 minutes.

Garrett is expected to join the Jam today and be available tonight when the team travels to face the Austin Toros in the first game of their NBA D-League Playoff run at 8:30 p.m. ET.
