NBA D-League Performer of the Week: March 16, 2009

Dwayne Jones, Austin Toros
Dwayne Jones of the Austin Toros is the NBA D-League Performer of the Week for March 16, 2009. Jones is the third Toros player to earn the honor this season.
In two games for the Toros, Jones averaged 28.0 points and 19.5 rebounds. He scored 23 points with 16 rebounds in Austin's loss to Fort Wayne on Monday before returning to post season-highs with 33 points and 23 rebounds in Friday's win over Tulsa. For the week Jones shot .759 (22-29) from the field and also averaged 2.5 steals.
Jones, a 6-11 center, was traded to Austin from Idaho earlier this season and is averaging 13.8 points and 10.9 rebounds. A member of the Charlotte Bobcats earlier in 2008-09, Jones has appeared in 79 NBA games over the past four seasons. He led the D-League with 11.7 rebounds in 26 games while on assignment from Boston during the 2005-06 season.
Will Conroy, Albuquerque: Conroy scored 27.0 points with 5.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists for the Thunderbirds.
Lance Allred, Idaho: Allred scored 21.5 points and added 10.0 rebounds to lead the Stampede to a 3-1 record.
Maureece Rice, Erie: Rice scored 26.5 points and added 7.5 assists in two games for the BayHawks.
Gary Forbes, Tulsa: Forbes led Tulsa to a 2-1 record, averaging 24.3 points and 8.0 rebounds.
Morris Almond, Utah: Almond, on assignment from the Jazz, averaged 25.7 points in three games for the Flash.
