Erik Daniels and Maureece Rice, Erie BayHawks
Erik Daniels and Maureece Rice of the Erie BayHawks are the NBA D-League Co-Performers of the Week for March 9. Daniels and Rice led Erie to a 3-0 record.
Daniels averaged 23.3 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists for the BayHawks. On Thursday he registered a triple-double with 30 points, 23 rebounds, and 10 assists in a win over Tulsa. Rice posted 24.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists for Erie. He has scored 21 points or better in his last eight games.
Daniels, Erie's first-round pick in the D-League Draft and a D-League All-Star, and Rice, a rookie guard from George Washington, have led the BayHawks to a 22-17 record this season. Daniels, a Kentucky product and former NBA player, ranks sixth in the league with 21.1 points and third with 10.2 rebounds. Rice is averaging 16.8 points per game.
