NEW YORK, Nov. 19, 2007 – NBA TV will tip off its comprehensive coverage of the NBA Development League, which will feature more than 60 regular season games and postseason action, when This Week in the D-League returns on Friday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. ET. This Week in the D-League will open the season when it provides a thorough analysis of each of the teams and its players. The network will tip off its regular season game schedule when it presents the Dakota Wizards against the Utah Flash on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 1 p.m. ET.

This Week in the D-League, Bi-Weekly
Hosted by Rick Kamla, this bi-weekly show is the definitive source for basketball news and information about the D-League. The half-hour program delivers insights on the league from journalists, players, coaches, and officials, as well as NBA front office executives, with a spotlight on players moving from and to the D-League.
NBA Development League Showcase, Jan. 14-17, 2008
One of the most popular events on the D-League calendar, the four-day Showcase will feature all 14 D-League teams in action, competing against each other in 14 games at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho from Jan. 14-17. Besides presenting game action, NBA TV will be on site providing in-depth analysis and exclusive interviews with players, coaches and NBA front office personnel.
The Showcase will once again serve as NBA TV’s production laboratory when the network experiments with new technologies and production methods for possible use during NBA telecasts. Last year, the network utilized a multitude of production enhancements for the event including:
D-League All-Star Game, Feb. 16, 2008
NBA TV will present the second annual D-League All-Star Game in conjunction with NBA All-Star 2008 in New Orleans. Featuring the best D-League talent and the starting lineups chosen by fans via NBA.com and D-League.com, the All-Star Game will once again be held at Jam Session, the NBA’s premier interactive basketball experience, which will be staged at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The NBA Development League, the NBA’s official minor league, features 14 teams. Now in its seventh season, 44 former D-League players made up 10 percent of opening day NBA rosters this year.
