NEW YORK, Jan. 3, 2011 – Othyus Jeffers of the Iowa Energy was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Dec. 27, his second such honor this season.
Jeffers, a 6-5, 200-pound guard/forward who earned a GATORADE Call-Up and played in 20 games last season with the Utah Jazz, led the Energy to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 22.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Jeffers was also named Performer of the Week for the week of Nov. 21.
In Iowa’s 111-100 win at Fort Wayne on Tuesday, Jeffers had a team-leading 24 points and 14 rebounds, and added five assists and two steals. On Friday, Jeffers recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Energy’s 103-91 win over Dakota.

Iowa’s Curtis Stinson, who averaged 19.0 points, 10.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds in two games.
New Mexico’s Josh Bostic, who averaged 22.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists, and Shane Edwards, who averaged 19.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, in three games.
Reno’s Marcus Landry, who averaged 20.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in four games.
Rio Grande Valley’s Jerel McNeal, who averaged 17.5 points and 5.3 rebounds, and Mustafa Shakur, who averaged 20.3 points, 8.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds, in three games.
Texas’ Joe Alexander, who averaged 25.7 points and 14.3 rebounds, and Sean Williams, who averaged 21.3 points and 13.3 rebounds, in three games.
