NEW YORK, April 15, 2012 – The Cleveland Cavaliers today re-assigned forward Luke Harangody to the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment marks the record 65th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season, and is the third and final assignment for Harangody this season.
Harangody (6-7, 245, Notre Dame) will return to the Charge following a one-game recall to the Cavaliers. During his first two assignments, Harangody played in 16 regular season games for the Charge, averaging 19.4 points, 12.6 rebounds and 36.0 minutes. He shot 49 percent from the floor and 41 percent from three point range. In one playoff game for Canton he scored 16 points, on 6-of-12 shooting, and grabbed nine rebounds in 34 minutes as the Charge took a 1-0 advantage over the Springfield Armor in the first-round best-of-three match-up.
In 15 games with Cleveland this season, Harangody is averaging 1.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 7.9 minutes.
