NEW YORK, Jan. 31, 2008 – The NBA Development League will join the NBA All-Star festivities in New Orleans with the second annual D-League All-Star Game presented by Spalding on Saturday, Feb. 16, at NBA All-Star Jam Session Center Court. In addition to the All-Star Game, the D-League will hold its inaugural Dream Factory Friday Night at Jam Session Center Court on Friday, Feb. 15. Coverage of Saturday’s game will be televised live on NBA TV while Friday’s events can be seen live on d-league.com.

Fan voting for this year’s D-League All-Stars concludes Friday, Feb. 1. Through the D-League All-Star balloting program, each vote cast will be entered to win a trip to Game 1 of the 2008 D-League Finals. The 2008 D-League All-Star rosters will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Similar to NBA All-Star Saturday Night, Dream Factory Friday Night will consist of a three-point contest and a dunk contest, and will also engage fans in an interactive game of Hot Shot with a Fan and a game of Horse. Details and participants of each event will be announced on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

"We're very excited about our first-ever Dream Factory Friday Night, where we'll be testing some exciting new events such as HORSE, and experimenting with new wrinkles to the Slam Dunk and 3-Point Contests," said NBA D-League President Dan Reed. "Not only does this demonstrate our critical role as the NBA's R&D department, but will be a tremendously entertaining evening showcasing our world-class level of basketball talent."
