The NBA has announced that it will implement an experimental rule change for the 2005-06 D-League season, the International Goaltending Rule. According to the rule, a player may now touch the ball after a field goal or free throw attempt hits the rim and no part of the ball has entered the basket.
Wizards second year player Peter John Ramos has been designated to the Roanoke Dazzle of the NBA Development League for the 2005-06 season.

Florida selected NBA veteran Andre Barrett with the first pick in the 2005 D-League Draft on Thursday. Fayettville took Nigel Dixon with the second pick and Ime Udoka was chosen third by Fort Worth.

Yet again, the NBA comes calling. 17 former NBA D-League players have made opening day rosters on NBA teams for the upcoming 2005-06 season.

History was made as Asheville became the first D-League team to repeat as champion. The Altitude dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring Columbus by 19 on the way to a 90-67 victory in the title game. Lenny Stokes and Ron Slay were stars on offense, scoring 17 points each for Asheville.
