FROM FIRST PICK TO MVP
Former Fayetteville Patriot Chris Andersen, the first overall selection in the 2001 NBDL Draft, was selected as the Most Valuable Player in the Rocky Mountain Revue following the conclusion of league play this weekend.
Andersen led the Denver Nuggets and was among the league leaders in scoring at 12.2 points per game. The Blinn Community College product also led Denver rebounders with 29 in six games (4.8 rpg). His .578 field goal percentage was seventh among all players at the Revue.

MIKE WILKS GIVETH…
Huntsville Flight product Mike Wilks led the Orlando Pro Summer League with 4.8 assists per game for the Milwaukee Bucks. Wilks finished league play tied for the top spot with Indiana Pacers guard Jamison Brewer. Wilks was second on the Bucks roster at the Shaw’s Summer League with 2.5 assists in Boston.
Nate Green (North Charleston) dished out 4.3 assists per game for the Miami Heat, good for third in the Orlando league. Scoonie Penn, who played for the Asheville Altitude last season for the Bucks in Orlando, was eighth with 3.3 assists per game.

AND FRED HOUSE TAKETH AWAY…
NBDL Rookie of the Year Fred House led the Rocky Mountain Revue in steals with 21 in six games for the Memphis Grizzlies. House, who played in North Charleston last season, averaged 3.50 steals per game to outdistance Huntsville Flight product Tyrone Ellis, who was second in the league with 2.33 per game for the Dallas Mavericks. House was also among league leaders at 29.8 minutes played per game.
BIG HAM SWATTIN’ AND GRABBIN’
Thomas Hamilton, who anchored the inside for 2002 NBDL Champion Greenville, was among Rocky Mountain Revue leaders in both rebounding and blocked shots. Hamilton’s 6.3 rebounds per game were in the top 15 and his 1.50 blocks per game was sixth in the Revue.

GOOD SHOW FOR ELLIS
Tyrone Ellis made Huntsville proud by averaging 12.8 points for the Dallas Mavericks at the Rocky Mountain Revue. Ellis’ numbers were good enough for second on the Mavs score sheet and a top 12 finish in the league.
FOUR FOR PHILLY
The Philadelphia 76ers sported the most NBDL players on any summer league roster with four at the Shaw’s Summer Pro League in Boston. Johnny Taylor (Roanoke), Sedric Webber (North Charleston), Nate Johnson (Columbus) and Tang Hamilton (Columbus) combined to average 25.7 points and 14 rebounds in six games for the Sixers. Taylor was the second-leading scorer for Philadelphia with 9.8 points per game and Johnson was second in rebounding at 4.8.
