NEW YORK, Feb. 21, 2002 – The Utah Jazz have signed guard Rusty LaRue
for the remainder of the 2001-02 season, it was announced by Jazz Vice President of Basketball Operations, Kevin O’Connor. As per team policy, terms of the contracts were not released.
LaRue had been signed to two 10-day contracts, with the first taking place on January 28, 2002, and the second 10-day contract signed on February 11, 2002.
The 6-3 LaRue has appeared in 10 games, averaging 6.2 ppg and 2.9 apg over 17.6 mpg. While with the Altitude, he averaged 12.1 ppg on .442 shooting with 2.8 apg and 2.6 rpg over 28.0 mpg in 26 games (17 starts).
