CHEAP DATE IN CHARLESTON
The Charleston Lowgators are offering a tempting Valentines Day alternative to the usual dinner and a movie by sponsoring “Cheap Date Night” Saturday at the North Charleston Coliseum. Adult tickets can be purchased two for the price of one, and the usual $4 parking fee at the Coliseum has been waived for the Lowgators’ game against the Fayetteville Patriots. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.

COOK ON THE D-LEAGUE
In a Feb. 9 story in The Oregonian, former Fayetteville Patriots and current Portland Trail Blazers point guard Omar Cook talked about his time in the NBDL. Following is a brief excerpt from that interview:
"The NBDL was great for me. It taught me a lot of stuff outside of basketball, just about life and about me growing up as a man. I've taken everything I got from the D League and brought it with me here."
FIRST TIME IN A WHILE
Including playoffs, Saturday’s 107-100 victory over league-leading Charleston marked the first time in 116 games the Fayetteville Patriots played a game without Omar Cook.
MIKKI GETS SECOND 10 DAY
The Utah Jazz have signed former Roanoke Dazzle star Mikki Moore to a second 10-day contract. Since joining the Jazz on Jan. 28, Moore has appeared in five games, averaging 15.8 minutes, 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds.
