NEW YORK, Mar. 21, 2002 –The National Basketball Development League has terminated the contracts of Asheville Altitude forward Stais Boseman and guard Jimmy King; and Fayetteville Patriots forward Clifton Terry effective immediately for repeated violation of league policy, it was announced by NBDL Executive Director Karl Hicks.
Boseman, a 6-foot-4, 200 pound forward, averaged 7.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg and 1.3 apg over 17.3 mpg in 32 games in the NBDL. He started the season with the Columbus Riverdragons before being waived on January 3. He was claimed by the Altitude on February 9, and averaged 6.4 ppg, 1.8 rpg and 1.3 apg over 14.5 mpg in 14 games with Asheville.
King, a 6-foot-5, 210 pound guard, averaged 9.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.6 apg and 1.1 spg over 23.0 mpg in 52 games (23 starts). King was selected in the fourth round of the NBDL’s Supplemental Draft (26th overall) by the Altitude.
Terry, a 6-foot-7, 220 pound forward, averaged 1.6 ppg and 1.1 rpg over 5.1 mpg in 12 games for the Patriots. Terry was claimed by the Patriots on February 12, 2002.
