NEW YORK, Jan. 28, 2002 – Following an investigation of a flagrant foul in Saturday's Huntsville Flight – Asheville Altitude game, Shelly Clark's contract with the National Basketball Development League has been terminated effective immediately for repeated episodes of unsportsmanlike conduct, it was announced today by NBDL Executive Director Karl Hicks.

Prior to the most recent incident, Clark had been suspended by the NBDL for unsportsmanlike conduct on two separate occasions.

Clark, a 6-foot-8, 250 pound power forward, averaged 11.0 ppg and 8.8 rpg over 29.5 mpg starting 26 of 28 games for the Flight.
