Moore signed a 10-day contract with the Hawks, while Brown signed with the Cavaliers for the remainder of the season. Asheville's
Jeff Trepagnier signed a 10-day contract with the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
The NBDL has now had 13 NBA callups spread among 10 players in just its second season. With the 2003 NBDL Playoffs starting Tuesday in Fayetteville, the league has notched 21 callups since play began in November 2001.
Brown and Moore were both First Team All-NBDL selections this season, with Moore being named the league's Defensive Player of the Year.
Moore's trip to Atlanta is his second to the NBA this season. The former University of Nebraska star played out a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics earlier this season. This is also Brown's second trip to the big show this year, both with the Cavaliers.
Moore played in three games for the Celtics, averaging 0.7 ppg and 0.3 rpg, and played in 42 games with the Dazzle averaging 16.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. The 6-11, 225-pound, fifth-year pro has career NBA averages of 4.7 points and 3.4 rebounds.
The Cavaliers signed Brown, a 6-2 guard, to a 10-day contract on March 3. He played five games, averaging 1.2 points and 1.4 assists. The McNeese State University product played 44 games with North Charleston, averaging 15.7 ppg and 4.9 apg. Brown played 40 games with the Houston Rockets during the 2001-02 season and averaged 3.1 points and 1.8 assists per game.
