RED CLAWS ADD 7-5 CENTER WILL FOSTER
Will Join Team on the Road in Canton Tomorrow Night

PORTLAND, ME (March 19, 2013) – The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, today announced that they have acquired 7-5 forward Will Foster. Foster replaces center Garrett Stutz who has been added to the Inactive List after falling ill during the team’s current five-game road trip.

Foster, 25, spent 30 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, averaging 3.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in 15.8 minutes played. Foster, a teammate of current Red Claw Micah Downs at Gonzaga, was waived by the Skyforce on March 5. The 7-5, 260 lbs. center is in his third professional season, splitting the 2011-12 season between the Idaho Stampede, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Skyforce. Foster has also played overseas with teams in Portugal and the Dominican Republic.

Foster is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow night as the Red Claws face the Canton Charge in the third game of a five-game road trip. Following tomorrow night’s game, the Red Claws will immediately travel to Fort Wayne where they will take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants Thursday before concluding the trip in Springfield on Saturday. Maine, who has six games remaining in the 2012-13 regular season, will play their final game of the season at home on March 28 at 7 PM.
