RED CLAWS WAIVE

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that Frank Young has been waived by the team. The announcement was made by Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings.

The team will travel to Lewiston tomorrow to play a preseason scrimmage at Edward Little High School. Tickets to the 7:00 PM event are $5 and are available at the door. All proceeds will benefit the athletic programs at Edward Little High School and Lewiston High School.

This Sunday, the Red Claws will scrimmage at the Portland Expo, with proceeds benefiting the Play It Smart program at Portland High School. Tickets to that game are available are available at Portland High School, by calling the Portland High Athletic Department at 207-874-8257, and online through TicketReturn.com. Game time is 7:00 PM.

The team will play its lone preseason game on Monday, facing off with the Springfield Armor at the Augusta Civic Center. Tickets are available at the Augusta Civic Center Box Office, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling (207) 626-2400. The Augusta Civic Center Box Office is open 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The game will start at 7:00 PM, and before the game, the Red Claws will host a special lecture style basketball clinic from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM to be followed by a player autograph session from 4:30 PM - 5:00 PM.  Both events are open to all fans with a ticket to the game.
