Dunkin’ Donuts Sponsored Clinics Will Take Red Claws to Kids Throughout Maine

PORTLAND, ME – The Maine Red Claws today announced that they will launch a summer clinic series in August. The 90-minute free clinics will be led by Maine Red Claws Head Coach Austin Ainge who will teach the fundamentals of basketball to children of all ages and will be held at select Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants. The month-long Maine Red Claws Summer Clinic Series Sponsored by Dunkin’ Donuts, will bring the team’s caravan to 13 Maine cities and towns, traveling more than 1,200 miles from as far south as Kittery to as far north as Houlton. .

“This is the kind of old-fashioned, barnstorming event that used to be commonplace among teams years ago, and we can’t thank Dunkin’ Donuts enough for hosting these clinics at their restaurants throughout the state,” said Red Claws President and General Manager, Jon Jennings. “The Red Claws proudly wear “Maine” across the front of our jerseys, and as Maine’s team, we thought this was a great opportunity to visit fans across the state, many of whom may have only had the opportunity to see us on television. Kids will have the opportunity to learn skills from a professional basketball coach, and we will have the opportunity to meet the fans who have supported us in our inaugural season. It’s a wonderful program and a great collaboration with Dunkin’ Donuts.”

All of the clinics will begin at 10 AM and will be held in the parking lot of the hosting Dunkin’ Donuts franchise. No preregistration is necessary.
