CRUSHER’S KIDS CONCERTS IN THE PARK SERIES RETURNS IN JULY FOR 3RD SEASON
Weekly Kids’ Summer Concert Series Begins Thursday, July 11

PORTLAND, ME (June 17, 2013) – The Crusher’s Kids Concert Series will return for its third season, with the first of five free events geared towards children to be held Thursday, July 11 in Deering Oaks Park in Portland. Each event will be held at the bandstand in Deering Oaks Park; in the event of inclement weather, concerts will be relocated to Reiche Community Center at 166 Brackett Street, Portland. The series is organized by the City of Portland Public Services Event Office and is sponsored by the Maine Red Claws and Quirk Chevrolet.

Each event is approximately 40 minutes long and is appropriate for children of all ages. The 2013 series will kick off July 11 at 12:30 PM with a popular returning act, Sparks Ark.

This is the third season for the Crusher’s Kids Concert Series, continuing a long-standing Portland tradition of free kids’ summer entertainment in Deering Oaks that had been eliminated from the city budget and had lapsed for several summers prior to being revived in 2010 by the Red Claws and Quirk Chevrolet.
