UNVEIL NEW WEBSITE
MaineRedClaws.com Is “Distinctly Maine”
PORTLAND, MAINE (August 7, 2009) –
The Maine Red Claws will, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today
unveiled the team’s new and improved website,
www.maineredclaws.com.
The announcement was made by Red Claws President and General
Manager Jon Jennings.
The new website was designed by the NBA’s technical and creative
staff under the direction of the Maine Red Claws staff, using
the familiar layout featured by all NBA Development League
Teams. The Red Claws site has a distinctly Maine feel, however,
including a masthead that features Portland Head Light, complete
with rotating light, stormy crashing seas, rolling clouds and
lightning.
“The Red Claws are Maine’s team, and we wanted our website to
reflect that,” said Jennings. “Portland Headlight is the most
photographed lighthouse in the world and one of the most
stunning locations anywhere. It was only appropriate that it be
featured in our website, and the designers did an incredible job
of bringing it to life.”
The newly designed website includes a revolving panel of top
stories to keep visitors up to date on the latest team news as
well as links to popular pages such as the Maine Red Claws Dance
Team, the team’s soon-to-be unveiled mascot Crusher, and
multimedia. Red Claws season ticket holders will be able to
access their accounts through the new site, and the home page
includes links to the Red Claws two NBA parent clubs, the Boston
Celtics and Charlotte Bobcats.
