Home Opener Set for Saturday, December 3

PORTLAND, ME (October 28, 2011) - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that individual tickets for the 2010-11 season will go on sale on Tuesday, November 1 at 8:30 AM. Tickets are available at the following locations:

The Red Claws will open their third season on the road with games at Springfield on November 25 and Erie on December 1. The team, which enters the 2011-12 season with an NBA Development League record 48-game sellout streak, will return to Maine on December 3 for their home opener. The game will feature the first national halftime act of the season, the Skyriders!, a world-class, high-flying trampoline act that has performed in every NBA market. Other scheduled halftime acts this season includes Red Panda, who wowed crowds at the first-ever Red Claws' game in 2009, Simon Sez, who will perform a special "Santa Sez" routine on December 24, and popular local children's act Rick Charette and the Bubblegum Band who will hold a post-game concert on February 24 in honor of Crusher's 3rd birthday. The Red Claws will play 24 home games at the Portland Expo this season, and individual ticket prices will be available at for $6, $10, $15, $20 and $30. Of the 24 home games, 23 will be weekend contests with 12 falling on Sundays and featuring early start times to encourage families with young children to attend. Maine fans will have the opportunity to see 12 of the Red Claws' 15 NBA D-League opponents. Making their way to Maine this season will be: Springfield Armor, Iowa Energy, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Erie BayHawks, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Idaho Stampede, Reno Bighorns, Dakota Wizards, Texas Legends, Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, and Tulsa 66ers.
