The Maine Red Claws in association with the City of Portland and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England unveiled a new exterior sign and video message board at the Portland Exposition Building today. Portland Mayor Jill C. Duson was on hand to turn on the sign for the first time.
The sign and video message board was designed, produced and installed by Sign Concepts of Portland, ME and is part of the $300,000 renovations the Red Claws are making before they take the court for their inaugural season at the Expo in the fall.
“The sign will serve as a wonderful welcome to Expo patrons and as an indication of the quality entertainment that can be found inside,” said Mayor Jill Duson. Dave Dumont, State Manager of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England said, “We are thrilled to be the official soft drink of the Maine Red Claws and the Portland Expo and we look forward to serving our quality beverages at Red Claws games and all Expo events.”
“We are excited to have a new sign that recognizes the Expo as the home of Portland High School and the Maine Red Claws. We are grateful to Coca-Cola of Northern New England for making this wonderful sign a possibility.” said Jon Jennings, President/GM of the Maine Red Claws.
