MAINE RED CLAWS ACADEMY

(ages 12-17, co-ed)

The Red Claws Basketball Academy affords boys and girls ages 12 to17 the opportunity to improve their basketball skills in a fun day camp setting. Skill development is the emphasis, and campers compete in 3-on-3 competitions that ensure every player is involved in every play. Coaches are assigned to stations so every player gets the benefit of the coach’s expertise for each drill. It is the aim of the Red Claws Basketball Academy to offer a positive basketball experience for all campers. We work with an instructional emphasis on the fundamentals for basketball success, along with the challenge of lots of game time. Sportsmanship, attitude and academics are addressed as we work to make players better athletes and better citizens. The camp will conclude on Friday with round robin playoffs, a pizza party, championship games, and trophy and award presentations. The cost for the weeklong camp is $250, and the program will run 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM daily.

JUNIOR RED CLAWS CAMP

(ages 8-11, co-ed)

The Junior Red Claws Camp is a day camp where boys and girls aged 8 to 11 can explore the wonderful world of basketball. Our goal is to develop a positive feeling for the game, using a two-part approach. First, we teach the verbiage and rules of basketball. The second part is teaching the game itself by developing the skills through stations and games. Our desire is to make camp fun and informative for all our campers, so they will want to continue to play basketball in school and as a lifetime activity. The camp will conclude on Friday with round robin playoffs, a pizza party, championship games, and trophy and award presentations. The cost for the week-long camp is $175, and the program will run 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM daily.
