D-FENDERS LOOK TOWARDS PLAYOFFS

With only four games remaining on the D-Fenders regular season schedule, Los Angeles is looking to capture the final playoff spot in the Western Division. The D-Fenders currently hold a 1.5 game lead over division rivals, D-fendersthe Anaheim Arsenal and Albuquerque Thunderbirds. Los Angeles will match-up three times against the Arsenal to decide their playoff fate.

"Right now we are in the driver's seat. I think that if we can win three out of our four games, then we'll be in the playoffs. Anaheim is right behind us, but we are the only team left that they play so we have the opportunity to take them out of it. It's that time of year where you shorten your practices a little bit to rest your legs for the games. This is a fun time in the year to play and we're eager to make it in the playoffs," said D-Fenders Assistant Coach Chucky Brown

Los Angeles leads their season series against the Anaheim Arsenal 2-1. The D-Fenders have won three of their last five games. The Idaho Stampede currently lead the Western Division and the Colorado 14ers hold the second playoff spot. The D-League Championship begins April 16 with the top three teams in each division making the playoffs.

Chatting with the D-Fenders

Andre Patterson#36 ANDRE PATTERSON

What has been your favorite basketball moment as a fan?

"It would have to be when Robert Horry hit that shot for the Lakers to beat the Sacramento Kings during game 4 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals. That was a great basketball moment as a Lakers fan. They were down early, but they came back and won it."

Nick Lewis#25 NICK LEWIS

What was it like playing in Belgium?

"It was a great experience. I got to see the worldly game of basketball, as well as experience other countries and their cultures. I saw a major difference in each culture's food and going to the grocery store was always a unique experience. I loved my time spent overseas, but I also missed being away from my friends and family."
