Quote of the Week
"It's a tremendous honor to be able to go and coach the All-Star team. I'm just looking forward to having fun and it will be fun to meet a lot of the other players you have to coach against. I was really excited to see that Lenny Wilkens will be our honorary captain because I played for him twice. It will be a lot of fun"
- Assistant Coach Chucky Brown

Chatting with the D-Fenders

Stephane Lasme#41 STEPHANE LASME

Coming from Gabon (Africa), what was your first winter like in America (UMass)?

"I thought it was different, very different. I remember, true story, the first time I went outside. Instead of wearing a jacket, I wore a polo shirt because I was trying to act like I was back at home. I ended up catching a cold though."

Wendell White#24 WENDELL WHITE

Growing up here in Southern California, were you a Lakers fan as a kid and did you have any special memories from the Lakers?

"I was a Lakers fan then and I always will be a Lakers fan. I took a picture with Kobe Bryant his rookie year. That was one of the highlights of my life. I got backstage tickets to a Magic Johnson All-Star game, so we went back there and I got the picture. If I get the chance to talk to him about that I will show him the picture."
