EL SEGUNDO, CA – The Los Angeles D-Fenders claimed a 104-94 victory over the Bakersfield Jam after a huge fourth-quarter run at the Toyota Sports Center on Wednesday night. The back-and-forth contest included 11 lead changes and 11 ties before Los Angeles (11-6) went on a 21-8 run in the final frame to get the win and stretch its win streak to three games.

Brandon Costner, the D-Fenders’ leading scorer for the 11th time this season, led the way as he finished with 24 points (16 second half points), five rebounds and three assists. Elijah Millsap tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists, Malcolm Thomas posted a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double to go with four blocks, and Zach Andrews added 16 points along with eight rebounds to round out the D-Fenders high scorers. Additionally, Courtney Fortson handed out 10 assists in the win.

Bakersfield (8-6) was guided by Jeremy Wise, who totaled 17 points (8-11 FG), four rebounds and five assists, and Osiris Eldridge, who scored 13 points. Solomon Alabi, assigned from the Toronto Raptors earlier today, finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds off the bench while Jeremy Hazell chipped in 14 points and Juan Pattillo added 12 points to round out the Jam players in double-figures.

The D-Fenders next travel to play the Reno Bighorns on January 6 at 7 p.m. in the first of a home-and-home series of games between the teams. The game is available for viewing online through NBA Futurecast.
