D-Fenders Announce Opening Night Roster

The Los Angeles D-Fenders finalized their opening day roster, it was announced today.

Entering training camp with 16 players, the D-Fenders waived Anthony Coleman (Long Beach State) and Robert Diggs (George Washington) due to injury but will continue to retain their rights. Per NBA Development League rules, to reach the 10-man roster limit, the D-Fenders also waived Larry Cunningham (UC Riverside), Anthony Gurley (Massachusetts), Troy Payne (Santa Clara) and Brandon Rozzell (Virginia Commonwealth).

The D-Fenders, who will be one of the teams featured on the 2011-12 NBA D-League Season Preview Show airing tonight at 9:00 pm ET on NBA-TV, open the season with back-to-back road games at Dakota on November 25th and 26th before opening their home schedule November 28th vs. Reno. Returning for their fifth season of competition in 2011-12 after a one year hiatus, the D-Fenders will play all home games at Toyota Sports Center, the Lakers practice facility in El Segundo, CA.
