On December 10, members of the Los Angeles Air Force Base Pack #665 joined the Los Angeles D-Fenders for a day of fun and excitement. These first graders enjoyed the VIP treatment by taking in the game courtside at STAPLES Center. In addition, the Tiger Cub members were participants in the halftime Dress 'n Dribble and Relay Race competitions. Finally, troop members were treated to a postgame autograph session with D-Fenders' players Brian Chase and Kevin Johnson.

When commenting on what a great time the troop had, Tiger Den Leader Becky Jones replied, "I can't get my oldest to take off the D-Fenders jersey you guys gave him!"

With their visit to the D-Fenders game, the troop members completed one of their five achievements to be a Tiger Cub Scout entitled "Keeping Myself Healthy and Safe." Prior to attending the game, the scouts studied the importance of eating healthy food, getting plenty of sleep, and exercising to keep their bodies in shape. The final stage of this task was to attend a sporting event to show how being healthy and exercising is fun.
