D-Fenders vs. 87ers Postgame Report 03/03/14

Top prospects Manny Harris and Terrence Williams scored 38 and 25 points, respectively, as the D-Fenders cruised to a 157-134 victory over the 87ers on Monday. C.J. Williams had 20 points off the bench and Josiah Turner finished with 10 points and 12 assists.

The D-Fenders were hot from the start and led by 13 at halftime behind 56.1 percent field goals and 52.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc. They pushed their lead to as much as 26 in the fourth and were never seriously threatened in snapping their two-game losing skid.

No. 1 prospect Manny Harris and No. 3 prospect Terrence Williams. Harris scored a game-high 38 points, to go along with five assists and four rebounds. He shot 13 of 24 from the floor, including 5 of 9 on three-pointers and 7 of 8 on free throws. Williams recorded his second double-double with 25 points and 10 assists, plus four steals. He shot an efficient 10 of 13 from the floor, and 4 for 5 from the three-point line.

Travis Hyman and Josiah Turner. Hyman posted 19 points and nine rebounds on 9 of 11 field goals, plus finished with a game-high plus-23 rating. Turner notched his first double-double of the season with 10 points, 12 assists and six boards off the bench.

No. 7 prospect, Shawne Williams, filled the box score with 20 points, six blocks, five rebounds and three steals in just 25 minutes.

No. 25 prospect, James Southerland, recorded 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 23 minutes off the bench.

No. 30 prospect, C.J. Williams, led all bench scorers with 22 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the floor and 3 of 4 from beyond the arc. He also added three boards and two assists.

The D-Fenders dished out 47 assists on 61 made field goals and turned the ball over just 13 times. Terrence Williams and Josiah Turner finished with 10 and 12 assists, respectively, while five other players recorded three.
