C.J. Williams had a team-high 27 points and No. 14 prospect James Southerland added 24 on Saturday, as the D-Fenders outlasted the visiting Skyforce 122-117. Terrence Williams pitched in with 22 points and Josh Maggette added 14 points and nine assists.
Trailing 117-115 with 1:24 remaining, the D-Fenders scored the last seven points of the game to take the season series from Sioux Falls (3-1). Travis Hyman split a pair of free throws on the next possession, then L.A. got the go-ahead jumper from James Southerland, another bucket from Josiah Turner and two free throws from C.J. Williams to seal the win.
PLAYER OF THE GAME
James Southerland. The Syracuse product finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and hit the go-ahead jumper with 45 seconds left. With Brandon Costner out, Southerland logged 40 minutes, rotating with Hyman at center, while also playing both forward spots. In the last five games, Southerland is averaging 18.2 points and 7.2 rebounds on 52.1 percent field goals.

No. 8 prospect, Terrence Williams, nearly logged a triple-double, as he registered 22 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. He also had this block on Sioux Fallsí Tre Kelley down the stretch to help preserve the D-Fenders win.
