D-Fenders 2012-13 Opening Day Roster Announced

EL SEGUNDO – The Los Angeles D-Fenders finalized their opening day roster, it was announced today.

Entering training camp with 16 players, the D-Fenders have placed Cecil Brown (UC Santa Barbara) and Renardo Sidney (Mississippi State)on the inactive list due to injury. Per NBA Development League rules, to reach the 10-man roster limit, the D-Fenders also waived Rashad Bishop (Cincinnati), Mamadou Diarra (Chaminade), Augustine Okosun (Northwood) and Tristan Thompson (North Texas). Led by new head coach Reggie Theus, the D-Fenders begin the 2012-13 NBA D-League regular season on November 28th at home versus Idaho at 7 pm. All D-Fenders games this season can be watched online through the NBA D-League YouTube Channel, and four games will be televised on CBS Sports Network (January 8th at Iowa, 7 pm PT; February 25th vs. Idaho, 6:30 pm PT; March 11th vs. Austin, 6:30 pm PT; March 30th vs. Santa Cruz, 7:00 pm PT). For the second consecutive year, the D-Fenders will play all home games at Toyota Sports Center, the Los Angeles Lakers training facility, in El Segundo, CA.
