BAKERSFIELD, CA – Leading by four at halftime the Los Angeles D-Fenders started the third quarter on an 11-0 run and saw their lead reach as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter before they defeated the Bakersfield Jam 105-88 at the Jam Events Center on Friday night for their ninth win in 10 games.

Elijah Millsap (26 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists) became the second D-Fenders (17-7) player in team history to record a triple-double, joining teammate Eniel Polynice, who accomplished the feat earlier this season (12/12/11 vs. TEX). Additionally, Gerald Green led all scorers after he totaled 30 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year, and Otis George posted a season-high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (7 offensive rebounds) off the bench in the victory.

Bakersfield (11-10) was paced by their second unit, which totaled 64 of their 88 points. Osiris Eldridge led the way after he finished with 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Juan Pattillo dropped in 15 points, Mustapha Farrakhan totaled 13 points, and David Palmer tallied 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers off the bench. Renaldo Major (10 points) was the only starter to score in double-figures.

The D-Fenders and Jam next play tomorrow, January 21st, at 6:30 p.m. at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo for their second of three consecutive games against each other. Tickets are still available and the game can be seen online through NBA Futurecast.
