BOISE, ID – The Los Angeles D-Fenders outlasted the Idaho Stampede in the fourth quarter to win 99-94 at CenturyLink Arena on Saturday night. The 16-point cushion that the D-Fenders (16-7) carried into the final frame helped snap their four-game losing streak against Idaho (8-12).

Brandon Costner (22 points) and Elijah Millsap (21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists) guided the D-Fenders for much of the contest on the offensive end. Their teammate Courtney Fortson (15 points, 3 steals) helped close out the contest, though, after he dunked with 15.9 seconds remaining to give the D-Fenders a five-point cushion. Additionally, Zach Andrews finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds, Orien Greene totaled 11 points, five rebounds and five assists and Gerald Green pitched in 11 points in the win.

Tony Bobbitt paced the Stampede (8-12) with 19 points, while Seth Tarver, who scored 14 fourth quarter points, totaled 16 points and three rebounds. In addition, Terrico White chipped in 14 points and three rebounds, and Antoine Walker added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists in the loss.

The D-Fenders, who are 2-1 on their current four-game road trip, used defense to build their lead, which was reflected in the Stampede’s 43.2 field goal percentage on the night.

Los Angeles next plays on the road against Bakersfield on January 20 with tip-off slated for 7 p.m. and the game available for viewing on NBA Futurecast.
