RENO, NV – Another staunch defensive effort found the D-Fenders on the winning end as they edged the Springfield Armor 97-82 for their sixth consecutive victory. With the win, the D-Fenders (14-6), who held the Armor to 35.3 percent shooting and 11 fourth quarter points in the Monday matinee, tied the 2007-08 team for the longest win streak in franchise history.

Brandon Costner, who opened the game with 15 first quarter points, scored a game-high 29 points (8-12 FG, 9-13 FT) to go with two blocks in 32 minutes. Meanwhile, Elijah Millsap finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and two steals, Otis George totaled 12 points and five rebounds off the bench, and Courtney Fortson added 13 points and four rebounds. The D-Fenders also saw solid outings from Mardy Collins (10 points, 9 rebounds) and Zach Andrews (6 points, 12 rebounds) in the win.

Springfield (8-9) was paced by JamesOn Curry, who totaled 19 points and eight assists, and L.D. Williams, who finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. In addition, Jeff Foote contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds and Jerry Smith tallied 14 points to round out the Armor double-digit scorers.

With the win, the D-Fenders improve to 4-0 in Monday games this season and are now 14-8 all-time against the Armor.

The D-Fenders return to action January 11th against the Maine Red Claws at the NBA Development League Showcase. The game will be broadcast live on NBA TV at 10 a.m. PST.
